Leaflet: Recycling

Design a leaflet about recycling for the school campaign


INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make a (3 part folded) black and white leaflet for parents and people living near the Anahuac including the following information:


1) Why it’s important to recycle (and reuse and reduce)

2) School logo

3) Materials we recycle

4) How to recycle

5) Day and time we’ll recycle: Friday 21st October 5-7pm

2. Write the leaflet in Spanish and send it to mikeanahuac@gmail.com before 11.59 Monday 26th September

Investigative Project: the Colima Dump

Investigate about the Colima dump and answer the following questions:

1. How much solid waste goes to the Colima dump a) every day? B) Every week? C) Every month?

2. What types of contamination problems are caused by the Colima dump? Explain the problem

3. What can people do in Colima to solve the problem? Suggest 3 solutions

4. How much water can be contaminated by a) a watch battery b) a AA battery

5. When organic materials get buried underground in the dump, a) what gas do they produce b) what problem does this cause c) what can you and your family do about this?
